Joanne Brodie was commissioned by then Commodore of CYCA Ron Hobson, and built by Bill Batten at his Engineering shed for the purpose of competing in the 1960 Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
She delivered Hobson and his crew to several very respectable finishes in Hobart, together with many other blue water victories andexciting adventures. Now relocated to QLD, here’s hoping the adventures can continue for many years to come.
